Cleaning is included in stays of one (1) week or more.
For stays of less than a week there is a cleaning charge
- $125 for the 3 bedroom unit.
- $75 for the 1 bedroom unit.
Rental Policies
Mission Bay
No pets, no smoking inside either unit. When rented separately, the 3-bedroom house has a seven person maximum, the 1-bedroom cottage has a three person maximum or two adults and two small children. Larger groups of up to eleven persons maximum may be accommodated by renting both units for the same time period.
Minimum stay for either unit: Saturday to Saturday in the high summer season and three days during other seasons, except for the holiday season when there is a five day minimum. A 10.5% San Diego transient occupancy tax is charged for rentals of less than one month’s duration.
Check-in is guaranteed at 3 PM and check-out is at 10 AM, unless previous arrangements have been made. When we are able, we allow earlier check-in’s and later check-out’s for our guests, at no extra charge.
Deposits
- A $500 deposit is required to hold the 3-bedroom house and $200 to hold the 1-bedroom house for your selected dates. The deposit is applied to your total balance due. 50% of the remaining rental fee is due sixty (60) days prior to arrival, and full payment is due thirty (30) days prior to arrival.
- A security deposit is secured with a credit card (as you do when renting a hotel room), a $500 hold is placed on your card for the 3-bedroom and $250 for the 1-bedroom. There is no charge to your card except in the unlikely event of damage or loss.
Cancellations and Refunds
- If we receive notification of your cancellation at least forty-five (45) days prior to your arrival date, all deposits are refunded, less a $100 handling fee and credit card processing fees, if applicable. If notice is received less than forty-five (45) days prior to your arrival date, a refund will be made only if the unit is re-rented. Refunds will be based on the percent of your reserved stay that is re-rented. If unable to re-rent, we will do our best to give you an equal stay at another time. Non-payment or insufficient funds are regarded as cancellations.
- Cash prices are listed, an additional 3% charge will be made for credit cards, and 4% for international cards.
Fees
- Tax Rate: 10.5%.
- For stays of less than a week there is a $125 cleaning charge for the 3-bedroom unit and $75 for the 1-bedroom unit.
